Our Shows Are Paused, Our Love Is Not
Broadway In Detroit Encourages Fans to Support Our CommunityBroadway In Detroit is proud to support the work of many amazing non-profit organizations throughout our area.
Each time a show begins its run at The Fisher Theatre, Detroit Opera House, or Music Hall, we work with area organizations to engage unique events and programs for our communities. For our family shows, we host Girl Scout Nights and Family Nights, in October and May we designate performances as Breast Cancer Awareness nights. Many non-profit organizations also host pre-show and post-show fundraising events in conjunction with a performance.
In 2017 we began the Bank of America FUNRaising Program. With each Broadway engagement we ask the producers to engage this non-profit fundraiser that designates a special price for our partner organizations. When patrons purchase a ticket to select performances using promotional codes, a small portion of their purchase is returned to our community. Metro Detroiters have returned thousands of dollars to these wonderful organizations just by purchasing a ticket to their favorite performance.
This year, during this long intermission, those events and programs have been paused, but our love for our community and these organizations has not.
On this giving Tuesday, we are asking our fans to pass on your love for our community. Today, or anytime this holiday season, please support one or more of these great non-profits that make a difference in so many lives (animal lives included). When we return to live performances, be sure to watch for special event nights and buy a ticket or two through our Bank Of America FUNraising program. We’re sure you’ll receive a standing ovation.
