Box Office Hours:
10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
10 a.m. until show time, except on Saturday and Sundays, when the Ticket Office will open two hours prior to curtain time. Weekend hours vary, so please call the box office at 313-237-SING for hours.
Accessible seating for patrons in wheelchairs is available in on the orchestra level. When inquiring about tickets, please call Kim Gray at (313) 961-3500 x3216 and ask about these locations if you require special accommodations.
Photography, Recording & Communications Devices
Unauthorized cameras and recording devices are not allowed inside the lobby or theater at any time. Taking photographs of the theater or any performance is strictly prohibited. As a courtesy to our guests, we ask that all paging devices, cellular telephones and alarm watches be switched to silent mode prior to the start of all performances.
Children are welcome, however, all guests are required to hold a ticket, regardless of age. Babes in arms are not permitted.
Concession stands are located on all levels. Please note that food and drinks may not be allowed in the auditorium. Check with concession stand personnel or an usher to find out if food or drink is allowed in the theater for that performance. Coat Check is located at the Guest Services desk, in the Vincent Lobby (Madison Street side). Cost is $2.00 per coat. Please note that the Detroit Opera House does not accept responsibility for any personal articles that are not checked at the coat check. A public pay phone is located near the third floor ladies’ restroom. Take the elevator to “3R” and turn to the left. The pay phone is wheelchair accessible.
Latecomers will be seated only during an appropriate pause in the program. Late seating policies are at the discretion of the production, not Opera House management.
